Back in 2015, we saw an opportunity to disrupt the sampling landscape. Existing methods of sampling tended to be poorly targeted, lacking in scale, difficult to measure or not that engaging (or all of the above!)

Bringing together 20 years of experience in marketing technology and advertising, we built our workplace sampling platform, gemsatwork. This gave brands a highly targeted way of reaching consumers at scale, delivering engaging experiences in the workplace, and bringing transparency and insight to sampling with the use of innovative measurement tools.

In 2020 we saw the massive opportunity in online sampling as a natural extension to gemsatwork, drawing on our expertise in data-driven sampling, using technology to drive personalised engagement, and developing actionable insights from sampling campaigns.

Our story

Founded in a run-down Shoreditch office, we began building our network of employers and launched our first office sampling campaign with Nairn’s.

Sampled half an olympic-sized swimming pool’s worth of coconut water for innocent drinks.

Relocated to Brighton and launched our first employee opt-in campaign with John Frieda.

Ran our first colab campaign, creating office picnics in nearly 1,000 offices with Seriously Spreadable and Ryvita.

Launch of gemsatwork employee engagement platform, giving brands more control over their campaigns and empowering HR reps to create their own engagement events.

Aside from launching our online sampling platform, we facilitated over 5 million product donations to the UK’s National Health Service during the height of the national lockdown.
